EVENT VENUES

The see-Conference has its home at the Wiesbaden Schlachthof Cultural Centre. The former slaughter house is usually a venue for rock, metal and punk concerts, music parties, poetry and science slams as well as for readings, with events taking place there almost daily, and has established itself as an essential part of cultural life in the region. The large hall that we use for the see-Conference has a surface area of around 1,200 square metres and seats around 800 people.

Schlachthof is located some 500 metres south east of Wiesbaden’s main station. Parking is available directly on the premises and at the railway station.

The see-Camp the day after the conference will take place at the Scholz & Volkmer campus. It encompasses a large garden, the agency café, a playground and the agency rooms – plenty of space for workshops, lectures and relaxation. The campus is located in the middle of Wiesbaden and can be easily reached by public transport. Bus stop: Adlerstraße.

Filming & photographs

You are welcome to take photos during the event and share your impressions with the see Conference community at Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and co. – providing none of the other guests are disturbed by you taking photos.

Please refrain from using flashlights or tripods during the presentations. We will provide pictures and full-length recordings of all sessions via our website shortly after the event.

Catering

As always, we have made sure that you will not go hungry at the see-Conference, as there will be plenty of food and refreshment stalls in the grounds of the Cultural Centre on the day.  Falafel, vegan burritos, organic Currywurst (curried sausages), vegetable fries, freshly pressed juices and ice-cream are just a few of the options available from a choice of our favourite local catering firms. This year we will have our cook Marcela, Fasan, Curry Manufactur and Perfect Day from Wiesbaden, and GutDing from Frankfurt. Also Möhren Milieu and Café Prego, as well as Neustadteis from Mainz.
