Code of Conduct

Short Version

The see-Conference is dedicated to providing a diverse, impartial, welcoming, and harassment-free environment and experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, atheism or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participators in any form. Conference participators violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organisers.

Extended Version

All delegates, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at the see-Conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event.

At Scholz&Volkmer, we assume that most people are intelligent and well-intended, and we’re not inclined to tell people what to do. However, we want every see-Conference to be a safe and productive environment for everyone. To that end, this code of conduct spells out the behavior we support and don’t support at conferences. The core of our approach is this:

We don’t condone any offensive behavior at our conference venues or at any social event locations related to it.

All this includes offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant still engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

We value your attendance. That is why we expect all participants and even sponsors to follow these rules at all conference venues or related social events.
